Day 1
Arrival Day
Meet and assist you at Athens airport and transfer you at your hotel in Athens. Overnight in Athens.
Day 2
Athens – Ancient Olympia
Pick you up from your Hotel about 09.00 and driving along the Attica coastline, we visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, after a quick stop at the famous Canal of Corinth with the breathtaking view of 80m height and 6km length! Our next stop will be, at one of the most beautiful towns of Greece, Nafplio, with its trademark, the Venetian fortress of Palamidi and the fortified islet of Bourtzi afloat in the middle of the bay. After lunch (optional), we will visit the famous ancient town of Mycenae and the Archaeological site – the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Palace and the tomb of Agamemnon. We leave Mycenae, and via Tripoli – Megalopolis (quick stop) we will arrive to Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Overnight in Olympia.
Day 3
Ancient Olympia – Delphi
Start early in the morning, visiting the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, the place that first Olympic Games took place in 776 B.C., lies in the lush valley formed by the Alfios River. There is a temple of Zeus the most celebrated sanctuary of ancient Greece. Dedicated to Zeus which in antiquity was housing one of the 7 wonders of the Ancient world, the gold and ivory statue of Zeus, which Phedias had created. Then visit the temple of Hera, the shrine of Pelops (one of the oldest in the sanctuary), the Council house where the athletes took the Olympic oath, the Treasury houses, the Gymnasium and the Palestra where they used to exercise for a month prior to the Games. Finally come to the stadium, where the marble starting blocks are still in position. Although secluded near the west coast of the Peloponnese, Olympia became the most important religious and athletic centre in Greece. Leaving Ancient Olympia, we will cross over the amazing bridge of Rion – Antirion, one of the biggest in Europe, in order to reach at Nafpaktos, a beautiful seaside small town, where you can visit the Venetian Castle, the Venetian Port, and after lunch we will reach at Delphi Overnight in Delphi.
Day 4
Delphi – Meteora
After your breakfast, we will visit the Ancient Oracle, the Stadium, the Ancient Theatre where could seat more than 5000 spectators and of course the Museum of Delphi, where you can admire the ‘’Charioteer’’, one of the best bronze statues ever! Delphi is perhaps best known for the oracle at the sanctuary that was dedicated to Apollo during the classical period. Afterwards, we can visit and have coffee or lunch, at the most famous winter resort in Greece, Arachova (a traditional and at the same time modern small city in an altitude of 1000 meters)! Depart from Arachova and driving through Central Greece, and the city of Trikala (quick stop), we arrive in Kalambaka, a small traditional town that is built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks of God, at the shadow of the great Meteora Monasteries. Overnight in Kalambaka (Meteora).
Day 5
Meteora – Vergina
After your breakfast, we will visit the Ancient Oracle, the Stadium, the Ancient Theatre where could seat more than 5000 spectators and of course the Museum of Delphi, where you can admire the ‘’Charioteer’’, one of the best bronze statues ever! Delphi is perhaps best known for the oracle at the sanctuary that was dedicated to Apollo during the classical period. Afterwards, we can visit and have coffee or lunch, at the most famous winter resort in Greece, Arachova (a traditional and at the same time modern small city in an altitude of 1000 meters)! Depart from Kalambaka, will go through the city of Kozani we will reach at Veria city for Overnight.
Day 6
Vergina – Thessaloniki – Athens
Today we will visit Vergina. A unique experience visiting the Site and the local Museum, displaying finds from the tomb of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great, so you will see the greatest discovery of 20th century ever. After visiting Vergina we will reach at Pella area and after all we will depart for Athens passing through the second biggest city of Greece, Thessaloniki, where you optionally have a quick city tour and a coffee break next to famous trademark of the town, the White Tower! Afterwards we will continue our trip to Athens with a stop at Thermopylae to see the monument of Leonidas and learn about the famous battle of Thermopylae between Spartnas and Persians. Overnight in Athens.
Day 7
Athens Sightseeing & Tour in Cape Sounio
Pick you up from your Hotel about at 08.30 and starting Athens City Tourfrom the Parliament, the University, the Library, the Presidential Residence (Ex-King Residence) with the traditional presidential Guards, Panathinaiko Stadium (where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896), the Temple of Zeus and then we visit Acropolis and the New Museum. You can have a short stop for coffee or refreshments at the Museum Café or at the next traditional area of Plaka. After a stop at the traditional area of Plaka for a coffee break, or lunch you will visit the second most popular sightseeing of Athens, (especially during the afternoon hours when you can take the chance of the breathtaking sunset over the Aegean Sea!), Cape Sounioand Temple of God Poseidon! Cape Sounio is located 70 km southeastern of Athens, at the southernmost spot of Athens. Sounion is noted as the site of ruins of an ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, the god of the sea in classical mythology. The remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea. The ruins bear the deeply engraved name of English Romantic poet Lord Byron (1788–1824). late in the afternoon we will back at your hotel. Overnight in Athens.
Day 8
Athens – Paros Island
You will be picked up from your hotel to transfer you to Piraeus port so you get the boat departing at 07.20 for Paros Island. Arrival at Paros Port at 10.30, and we will transfer you to your hotel. After your check-in, we will visit the famous beaches of Pounda, that is a very popular beach thanks to the beach bars and its beautiful, natural environment, or the Golden Beach with warm, clear waters with powdery soft sand, making it a sunbather’s paradise. Back to the Paros capital city of Parikia, do not miss to visit the Church of Panagia Ekatontapilliani, that is one of the best-preserved churches in Greece. It is also one of the earliest Christian churches in the country, built around A.D. 300 by Saint Helen. The church also was constructed on the ruins of the ancient Temple of God Dimitra. Inside, there is a Byzantine museum with pieces from periods of Paros’ history.Late in the afternoon and during the night you can walk among Parikia’s streets that has traditional Greek architecture, where you have your dinner or a drink or buy local products and souvenirs. Day 9
Paros Island – Mykonos Island
Departure from your hotel to the Paros port and take the boat at 12.40 to reach Mykonos island at 13.30. we will transfer you to your hotel. Mykonos is the most famous island in the world for its beaches and fun, also known as the island of winds. The stroll in ‘’Little Venice’’ of the island, or the walk through the narrow streets of “matogiania” will be memorable for your vacations, and you can shop clothes and other local items that you’ll only find in Mykonos. Our driver will lead you to the most beautiful beaches on the island like Super Paradise or Psarrou. Return at your hotel for a relaxing break, and later enjoy the amazing night life of Mykonos! Overnight in Mykonos.
Day 10
Mykonos Island – Santorini Island
Pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Mykonos Port so you get the boat departing at 14.50 for the famous Santorini Island, arrival at 17.40. we will transfer you to your hotel. The first thing you have to see is the most famous sunset in the world, at Oia. Crowds of people gather there, in order to see the sun go down as only there you can admire it! Afterwards, you can enjoy your drink or dinner, at the hundreds places located just on the rocks above the sea, and walk among the narrow streets of the island where you can buy many souvenirs. Day 11
Santorini Island – Day Cruise
After your breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel for a special cruise tour at VOLCANO – HOT SPRING – THIRASIA, the bus pick up ( about 10.30 ) form your hotel to transfer you at Athinios Port to take the boat in order to visit VOLCANO – HOT SPRING – here you can swimming at Hot Spring if you wish and then reach at THIRASIA a wonderful small islands which you have a rest and lunch. After you will reach at Amoudi beach, will get off the boat you will walk on foot or with donkey to reach at famous Oia ( about 17.00 ) to admire the sunset, to walk at narrow street, e.t.c The end of sunset ( about 20.00 0 the bus wait for you at Oia area to transfer you back to your hotel. Day 12
Santorini
Day at leisure: We suggest you a tour (optional 30, 00 euro / person) PROFITIS ILIAS, MEGALOHORI, AKROTIRI EXCAVATIONS, PERIVOLOS BEACH, SANTO WINES WINERY.The bus pick you up from your hotel about 10.30 to visit Pyrgos village that is the highest point of the island, stands the monastery of Prophet Elias, which was built in 1711, Megalochori, Archaeological sites of Akrotiri, and Santo Wines, a perfect winery! You have sightseeing at the winery, tasting 3 local wines with finger food, the tour takes about 5 hours. Alternative you can take the opportunity to visit beautiful beaches of Santorini, or to spend your time in the Thira Town. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 13
Santorini to Athens
We will transfer you to Santorini Port at 15:30 take the boat for Piraeus Port and you will arrive there at 23.15. Transfer you at your hotel Overnight in Athens. Overnight in Athens.
