A few minutes away, we will reach the best winter resort of Greece, Arachova, for a short stop at a café, or for a walk among the traditional houses and shops. We continue our tour and we ”pass” to the Ancient years, visiting the famous sightseeing of Delphi, with the ancient stadium, the oracle and the museum. You can choose if you want to stay for lunch at Delphi or at the traditional village of Makrakomi, two hours away, where you will also try the great local drink of ”tsipouro”, a drink close to the famous Greek ”ouzo”! Last stop and overnight, at the picturesque village of Karpenisi, in an altitude of 1000m! Overnight in Delphi.

Day 2

DELPHI – NAFPAKTOS

Start early in the morning, and we will start to explore the heart of central Greece, with a visit at the Monastery of Virgin Mary at Tatarna, located almost in the middle of the Lake of Kremaston, and surrounded by huge mountains! Crossing bridges, rivers and forests, we arrive at our next stop, the Saloon Park, where you can enjoy riding, rafting, climbing or archey, depends on the weather every time! We leave from Saloon Park, and we visit the wonderful Monastery of Virgin Mary at Proussos village, where you will able to see the unexplained ”Footsteps of Virgin Mary” on the rocks around the monastery! In a close distance from the monastery, we will make the best gourmet stop of the tour, and we will visit a local farm where you can try and buy a wide variety of local hand made products. Late in the afternoon we will arrive for overnight at the beautiful town of Naupaktos, next to the sea. Overnight in Nafpaktos.

Day 3

NAFPAKTOS – ATHENS

Last day of the tour, returning to Athens, we leave Naupaktos and there is an optional visit at Monastery of St. Augustin Hipponos and St. Seraphim of Sarov. Afterwards, we cross one of the biggest bridges in Europe, from Antirio to Rio, and we visit one of the most historical monasteries in Greece, at Kalavryta, the Vouraikos Canyon which can be approached through the “Odontotos” (a rare example of a fully functional cog railway, offering breath-taking view), the Cave of the Lakes, where the natural beauty of the lakes and the stalactitic decor attracts a great number of visitors every year. Our last stop will be at the Corinth Canal (6 km length and 80m height!) and we will reach Athens late in the afternoon.
