Day 1

Athens

Arrival Day: Meet and assist at Athens airport El. Venizelos, and transfer you at your hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2

Athens

The Athens Christian tour begins with a visit to Acropolis hill. Stroll around the ancient citadel while your experienced tour guide relates to you the fascinating history of such monuments as the Temple of Athena Nike, the Theatre of Dionysus, the majestic Parthenon and the Mars Hill (Acts 17:22) where Apostle Paul preached the word of the Christian God to the Athenians. After a short walk, passing by the picturesque Monastiraki area, you will visit the Ancient Agora. The Agora was the heart of Athens in ancient times and the meeting point of St. Paul with the first followers of Christianity. Here is also located the Church of the Holy Apostles, a medieval orthodox church from the 10th century. Our next stop will be the Panathinaiko Stadium (photo stop) where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. In continue, we will pass by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus, University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square and Russian Orthodox Church. Overnight in Athens.

Day 3

Athens – Delphi – Thessaloniki

After your breakfast, pick you up from your Hotel about 08.30 and about 2 hours later we will arrive at Delphi area. Along the way, you will see the plain of Beotia, an agricultural center and you will also pass by the city of Theva, the birthplace of King Oedipus. Our first stop that it is worth to visit will be at the wonderful Byzantine Monastery of St. Loukas or at the Monastery of St. John Theologos. Continuing we will visit Castalia Spring, visit at the archaeological site and view the monument of the Argive Kings, the treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo famous for its oracle and Delphi museum, with its spectacular exhibits include the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos the metopes of the Athenian treasury, the famous bronze Charioteer, originally created to commemorate a victory during the 476 B.C. Pythian Games, and many other artifacts. Late in the evening and through at the wonderful Tempi Valley, we arrive at the biggest town of Northern Greece, Thessaloniki. Having check –in at the hotel and you have free time to walk and enjoy the town and the coast of Thermaikos Gulf. Overnight in Thessaloniki.

Day 4

Thessaloniki – Kavala

Start early in the morning, and we visit the small town of Nea Fokea and the ‘’Agiasma of St. Paul’’, that is an underground corridor ends to a chamber where St. Paul was hidden when people of Thessaloniki was running after him. Afterwards, we will reach the town of Kavala and then Filippoi, where St, Paul preached his first evangelical sermon and baptized the first Christians in Europe! Visit the ‘’Baptismal’’ site, where Lydia baptized as the first European woman and the secret crypt where Paul was prisoned in. Finally, we visit Acropolis of Filippoi, the Anvient Market, Basilica and Theatre. Overnight in Kavala.

Day 5

Kavala – Mount of Athos Tour

After your breakfast we will driving along to Ouranoupolis in order to take the ferry for Mount of Athos that is called Virgin Mary’s garden. The jewel of Orthodoxy. The place where Holy Fathers have lived for centuries in enlightenment and continue to do so. For the devout, it is a place of spiritual enlightenment, a place of worship, a chance for reflection, meditation and spiritual renewal. The ferry depart at 14.00 starting from Ouranoupolis and we will see 7 monasteries, our English speaking guide explain everything about the monasteries. The duration of the tour is about 3 hours. At the end about 19.00, our driver pick you up and driving to your hotel at Thessaloniki for overnight.

Day 6

Thessaloniki to Meteora

We leave from Kavala, and we arrive at the beautiful town of Veria at Northwestern Greece. Visit the made of marble ‘’Vima of Apostle Paul’’, the place Paul preached to the people of one of his beloved towns for many days. We continue to the Ancient town of Vergina and to the King’s tombs, one of them of Alexander the Great father and ex-king, and we finally arrive to the picturesque town of Kalambaka, next to the amazing Monasteries of Meteora. Overnight in Kalambaka (Meteora).

Day 7

Meteora – Korinthos

Early in the morning, we drive to Meteora and the breathtaking rock tower monasteries of the 11th Century! We visit the first great monastery of Varlaam, founded on 16th century and located on the top of a rock at 380m height! Our second visit will be at the Monastery of St. Stephan, of the 15th century, also built on the top of the top of another huge rock where you will admire a small treasure of Byzantine and Christian items, at the museum inside the monastery! If we have more time depend form the opened hours of the Monasteries we will visit Agia Triada (also Ayia Triada or Aghia Triada; “Holy Trinity” is one of the most dramatically positioned monastery of the Meteora. We arrive for overnight at Korinthos, Peloponnese. Overnight in Korinthos.

Day 8

Korinthos to Athens

In Corinth, one of Paul’s beloved cities, the town that inspired many of Paul’s letters, we keep following his steps, by visiting, the ancient Roman market with the famous speakers platform (Vima) form which Saint Paul preach to the citizens, the Temple of Apollo, also we will visit the Cathedral of St. Paul, and walk at the same paths that Apostle of Nations walked and preached hundreds of years earlier. We will also visit the ancient town of Mycenae and the Gate of Lions, the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, and after a short stop at the Canal of Corinth we return back to Athens, Ovrnight Athens.

Day 9

Athens -Santorini island

After early breakfast we transfer to Piraeus port to get the ship to Santorini Island which departs at 08:20 am and arrives at 10:25 am. Our driver will be waiting at Santorini port and transfer you at your hotel. After your check in and your rest our driver pick you up from your hotel at about 14.00 to visit Pyrgos village that is the highest point of the island, stands the Monastery of Prophet Elias, which was built in 1711, Megalochori, Archaeological sites of Akrotiri the famous Red beach. At the end of the tour we will return at your hotel. Free time for yourself. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 10

Santorini island

After your breakfast, the bus pick up up (about 10.30) form your hotel to transfer you at Athinios Port to take the boat in order to visit VOLCANO – HOT SPRING – THIRASIA here you can swimming at Hot Spring if you wish and then reach at THIRASIA a wonderful small islands which you have a rest and lunch. After that you will reach at Amoudi beach, will get off the boat you will walk on foot or with donkey to reach at famous Oia (about 17.00) to admire the sunset, to walk at Narrow Street, etc. The end of sunset (about 20.00 0 the bus wait for you at Oia area to transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 11

Santorini to Athens

Free time for yourself until our driver transfer you to Santorini Port at 15:30 for Piraeus Port and you will arrive at 23.15. Transfer you at your hotel. Overnight in Athens.

Departure day

Our driver transfer you at Athens airport according to your flight details.
