Day 1

Arrival Day

Pick you up from Athens Airport to transfer you to your hotel in Athens. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2

Athens – Argolis – Ancient Olympia

Pick you up from your Hotel or from Athens Airport, and driving along the Attica coastline, we visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, after a quick stop at the famous Canal of Corinth with the breathtaking view of 80m height and 6km length! Our next stop will be, at one of the most beautiful towns of Greece, Nafplio, with its trademark, the Venetian fortress of Palamidi and the fortified islet of Bourtzi afloat in the middle of the bay. After lunch (optional), we will visit the famous ancient town of Mycenae and the Archaeological site – the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Palace and the tomb of Agamemnon. We leave Mycenae, and via Tripoli – Megalopolis (quick stop) we will arrive to Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Overnight in Olympia.

Day 3

Olympia – Zakynthos Island

Start early in the morning, visiting the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, the place that first Olympic Games took place in 776 B.C., lies in the lush valley formed by the Alfios River. There is a temple of Zeus the most celebrated sanctuary of ancient Greece. Dedicated to Zeus which in antiquity was housing one of the 7 wonders of the Ancient world, the gold and ivory statue of Zeus, which Phedias had created. Then visit the temple of Hera, the shrine of Pelops (one of the oldest in the sanctuary), the Council house where the athletes took the Olympic oath, the Treasury houses, the Gymnasium and the Palestra where they used to exercise for a month prior to the Games. Finally come to the stadium, where the marble starting blocks are still in position. Although secluded near the west coast of the Peloponnese, Olympia became the most important religious and athletic center in Greece. After sightseeing in Olympia, we go ahead to Kyllini Port to take the ferry depart about 15.15 to reach Zakynthos port about 16.15 (after 1 hour). Check in at your hotel and then day at leisure. After your rest you can explore the center of Zakynthos and to have a dinner at a traditional tavernas. Overnight in Zakyntho.

Day 4

Day Cruise in Zakynthos Island

After your breakfast our driver will transfer you from your hotel to Zakynthos Marina to take the local boat cruise as is one of the best ways to explore the island. The boat cruise depart 09:00 and returns about 17:00. Our Zante tour begins as we head north along the east coast of Zakynthos, passing the beaches of Tsilivi and Planos and their beautiful surrounding landscapes. After passing the sandy beaches of Alikanas and Alikes we reach sleepy Agios Nikolaos in the north, one of the islands and most idyllic fishing villages. Our first stop is at the famous Blue Caves. Maybe you will be lucky enough to spot some dolphins! Our next stop is truly breathtaking, something that many of you have seen before but up until now only on postcards, the famous Smuggler’s Wreck! You have plenty time for swimming there. Keep your camera ready for the fantastic Lagoon of Porto Vromi, which has two natural ports full of fishing boats. You will then visit some more beautiful caves at Agalas. In the south we’ll visit the famous Caves of Keri. These caves lead very deep inside the mountains of Keri. Time for a refreshing swim at Marathias Beach. Have your cameras ready again for the Island of Marathonissi. Many years ago Marathonissi was connected with Zakynthos. This island is famous for the Caretta-Caretta turtle. If you are lucky enough and the turtles aren’t camera shy you’ll be able to capture one of your most memorable holiday moments! For a last chance for swimming, we’ll stop at Mavratsis Beach in Vasilikos. On our way back to Zakynthos-town we pass several long sandy beaches like Gerakas, Porto Zoro, Banana Beach, Porto Roma and St. Nikolaos Beach. At the end of the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight in Zakynthos.

Day 5

Zakynthos Island– Delphi – Meteora

After you breakfast we will take the ferry from Zakynthos port depart at 08.00to reach at Kyllini after 1 hour about 09.00 to continue the tour to Delphi. We will cross over the amazing bridge of Rion – Antirion, one of the biggest in Europe, in order to reach at Nafpaktos, a beautiful seaside small town, where you can visit the Venetian Castle, the Venetian Port, and after lunch we will reach at Delphi. We will visit the Ancient Oracle, the Stadium, the Ancient Theatre where could seat more than 5000 spectators and of course the Museum of Delphi, where you can admire the ‘’Charioteer’’, one of the best bronze statues ever! Delphi is perhaps best known for the oracle at the sanctuary that was dedicated to Apollo during the classical period. Afterwards, we can visit and have coffee or lunch, at the most famous winter resort in Greece, Arachova (a traditional and at the same time modern small city in an altitude of 1000 meters)! Depart from Arachova and driving through Central Greece, and the city of Trikala (quick stop), we arrive in Kalambaka, a small traditional town that is built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks of God, at the shadow of the great Meteora Monasteries. Overnight Meteora.

Day 6

Meteora – Athens

Visit to Meteora enjoying a unique and most impressive scenery of ageless monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between Earth and Sky atop huge rocks. We visit the first great monastery of Varlaam, founded on the 16th century and located on the top of a rock at 380m height! Our second visit will be at the Monastery of St. Stephan, of the 15th century, also built on the top of the top of another huge rock where you will admire a small treasure of Byzantine and Christian items, at the museum inside the monastery! Return to Athens passing by the small towns of Domokos, Kamena Vourla at the seaside and Thermopiles where there is the statue of Leonidas as a memorial of the battle of the 300 Spartans against thousands of Persian soldiers of the Persian Empire. Overnight in Athens.

Day 7

Athens Sightseeing

Pick up form your hotel to start your Private tour in Athens. You will visit Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. It is the only stadium built out of white marble. Proceed, we will visit Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus. You will then admire the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square ,Russian Orthodox Church, and finally ACROPOLIS (visit Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens). Continue the expert guided Athens sightseeing and museum tour with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the ACROPOLIS museum. After a stop at the traditional area of Plaka for a coffee break, or lunch you will visit the second most popular sightseeing of Athens, Cape Sounion, (especially during the afternoon hours when you can take the chance of the breathtaking sunset over the Aegean Sea!), Cape Sounio and Temple of God Poseidon! Cape Sounio is located 70 km southeastern of Athens, at the southernmost spot of Athens. Sounion is noted as the site of ruins of an ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, the god of the sea in classical mythology. The remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea. Late in the afternoon we will back at your hotel. The duration of the tour is about 8-9 hours. Overnight in Athens.

Day 8

Athens – Santorini Island

Our driver will transfer you to Piraeus Port to take the ferry at 07.30 to Santorini, arriving there at 11.55. Meet and assist at Santorini Port and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 9

Day Cruise in Santorini Island

After your breakfast, the bus pick up (at approximately 10.00) form a point near your hotel to transfer you at Athinios Port to take the boat in order to visit VOLCANO – HOT SPRING – THIRASIA here you can swimming at Hot Spring if you wish and then reach at THIRASIA a wonderful small islands which you have a rest and lunch. After that you will reach at Amoudi beach, will get off the boat you will walk on foot or with donkey to reach at famous Oia (about 17.00) to admire the sunset, to walk through the narrow streets, etc. The end of sunset (about 20.00) the bus wait for you at Oia area to transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 10

Day at leisure in Santorini

PRIVATE EXCURSION IN SANTORINI (optional). Our will driver pick you up from your ship or from your hotel to start this excellent Village & Wine tour in Santorini. Our first visit will be at Pyrgos village which is the highest point of the island, with magnificent panoramic view, to take memorable photos! There we will visit at the wonderful monastery of Prophet Elias, which was built in 1711. The second visit will be the village Megalochori to admire the Cycladic culture, we will visit the famous Red Beach or black beach, and finally we will visit the famous area of Oia. Our last stop is at “Venetsanos Winery” to have a perfect wine tour at one of the best winery in Santorini! You will have sightseeing at the winery, tasting the local wines with finger food if you wish, and admire the most famous sunset of Mediterranean Sea with panoramic and breathtaking view!! The tour takes approximately 4 hours. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 11

Santorini to Athens

Free time for yourselves until our driver will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the port, in order to take the ferry at 17.05. Upon Your arrival to Piraeus Port, we will transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Athens.

Day 12

Departure day

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to Athens Airport, according to your flight details.
